Chemtrade is a toll manufacturer and exporter of industrial and specialty chemicals, based in Surat, Gujarat, India. We manufacture on contract for water treatment, mining and oil drilling, dyes, paints and coatings, personal care, pharma, plastics and rubber, food ingredients, fertilizers and fragrance customers, and export to over 200 customers in more than 55 countries.

Toll manufacturing means the customer owns the formulation and Chemtrade manufactures it for them under contract. You supply the process, specification and — where you prefer — the key raw materials; we supply the production capacity, operators, quality control and packing. We run trial and pilot batches before scale-up, work under NDA from first contact, and can produce in scheduled campaigns so your stock arrives when your season needs it.

Yes. Chemtrade offers private label and white label production alongside toll manufacturing. We manufacture, pack and label to your artwork in drums, carboys, bags, IBCs or flexitanks, and the finished goods ship under your brand with your documentation.

Minimum order quantity depends on the product, the packing and whether the run is a toll manufacturing campaign or a standard grade. Commodity products typically move in full container loads (FCL), while specialty products and dyes can be produced in drum or bag quantities as part of an LCL consolidation. Yes. Every shipment from Chemtrade includes a Certificate of Analysis (COA) and Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS). We also arrange third-party pre-shipment inspection, Certificate of Origin and destination-specific regulatory documentation on request.

Yes. Chemtrade signs a non-disclosure agreement before any technical discussion or trial batch. Customer formulations, process parameters and specifications are treated as the customer's property and are never used for our own products or shared with other customers.

Chemtrade handles the full export chain in-house: packing and container stuffing, inland haulage from Surat to the gateway port, customs clearance, Certificate of Origin, pre-shipment inspection, bill of lading and ocean freight booking. Trailers are scheduled against the vessel cut-off, and customers receive the sailing schedule, container number and complete document set for every shipment. The company moves over 600 TEUs per quarter on direct and transhipment routes to more than 55 countries.

Chemtrade packs to the destination's requirements, including drums, carboys, bags, jumbo or bulk bags, IBCs, flexitanks and ISO tanks. Packing, labelling and marking are matched to the importing country's regulations, and private label artwork can be applied where the customer ships under their own brand.

Lead time depends on the product, whether the order is a toll manufacturing campaign or a stocked grade, and the destination port. Once a container is sealed, typical ocean transit runs from roughly two weeks to Middle East and South East Asian ports to six weeks or more for Latin America and the US west coast. Chemtrade confirms the production date and the booked vessel at the time of order, and flags any change before it affects the customer.
